What to Expect: Your Underarm Electrolysis Course
Consultation and Skin Assessment
Your electrologist examines the underarm area, assesses hair density, growth phase and skin sensitivity. Previous removal history matters – especially if you have been waxing, which can distort the follicle. Based on this assessment, you receive a realistic estimate of session count and timeline.
Treatment Sessions
A typical underarm session can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on hair density and the size of the area being treated.
Appointments are generally scheduled every three to four weeks, allowing us to target hairs as they enter the active growth cycle—the phase when electrolysis can permanently treat the follicle.
With each visit, the hair density gradually decreases as more follicles are permanently treated.
Underarm Aftercare
For the first 24 to 48 hours, avoid antiperspirants, intense exercise, and direct sun exposure on the treated skin. Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep the area comfortable.
In Dubai’s heat, wearing loose-fitting clothing can help reduce friction and allow the treated area to recover comfortably.
